- Digital Press Supervisor/Operator
Candidate must have a working knowledge of the digital printing process. Assigned duties would include; daily supervision and management of all activities within the Press Department, transferring and ripping files to various printers, loading and unloading substrates, maintain proper ink and solvent levels. Perform general operator maintenance; i.e. cleaning print heads , exterior of equipment, replace filters and other consumable parts. Verifies the daily print schedule ensuring all jobs are printed in a timely manner to meet finishing and shipping requirements. Notifies the operations manager when problems arise during the printing process. Updates the company workflow software to reflect real time data on jobs being printed. When technical issues arise notifies the operations manager. Ensures each job is printed on the correct substrate, color adjustments are made as needed and printed to the correct size. Ensures all printing is monitored throughout the print cycle to ensure correct design, color and print quality. Labels and returns all unused portions of print media to its proper storage location. Segregates and labels problem media and notifies the Operations Manager. Operates pallet jack , two and four wheel dollies, genie lift, to safely move materials and supplies throughout the facility. Utilizes powered and common hand tools needed to perform assigned tasks. Ensures daily housekeeping tasks are performed within the press areas. Disposes of liquid and solid hazardous/non-hazardous wastes in appropriate collection containers in accordance with state and federal regulations. Notifies the operations manager when such containers are full and require replacement. Adheres to all company policies and required safety practices.
